Finally Found Land! Bread and Butter Farms is indeed a Family Farm. We really did get it out of the mud. My Wife and 4 kids all moved to a 10acre plot of land with no water, no electric, no shelter, just our will and grit. We purchased a RV, build outdoor showers, cooked over fire, connected solar panels and learned how to build battery banks. Our focus was water, so we wrote a grant to supply us with a well. It was a learning experience because I blew the motor in the first one because I did not do the math on the needed gauge wire per sq ft. to sustained the needed voltage for the pump 500ft away from the breaker. We installed our well ourself using flexible tubbing.
It is Always a Family Affair
We had to clear. And Clear And Clear. And beneath the rubble was nothing but thick Georgia Clay. How could we ever begin the plant and make a living on this? My wife and I are scientist and we were about to science the absolute mess out of this space.

We truly needed to get the soil into a good space, so we focused heavily on biology and ionic exchange in the soil. You see our daughter was born with a heart condition and therefore we absolutely wanted to grow without chemicals... in Georgia... in Georgia heat... we 100s of different types of pest... Biology in the soil was the key.
